July 2024:
Very unsettled first half of the month with frequent cloud, rain/drizzle. Drier and much warmer second half with two short-lived ‘hot’ spells. Overall, temperatures were about average, but rainfall was 127% of normal.
August 2024:
A warm, very dry month with precipitation only 18% of average. There were some local thundery showers but no ‘downpours’ here. The average maximum temperature for the first 15 days of the month was 26.5C. Unusually windy on the 23rd due to ‘Storm Lilian’ with a gust of 44 mph
