Fun for all the family at the Great Hepworth Get-together, on Saturday 17th June, at Hepworth Village Hall and St. Peter’s Church. From 1pm until 4pm.
Dress up as one of the characters from Alice in Wonderland for the fancy dress competition and join in with the Mad Hatter’s tea party. Or enter your dog in the dog show and see if he has the waggiest tail. Alternatively you can bake twelve delicious cupcakes or use your imagination and create an inspiring photo on the the theme of ‘a great get-together’.
As well as competitions, activities and displays, including a model railway exhibition and wellie-wanging, there will be stalls from local artisans and a display of artwork by Hepworth Art Group. Then at 3pm it is time to put on your dancing shoes and join the Ceilidh with the Skylarking band. Refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon.
Photographs to be submitted to St Peter’s Church, Hepworth on Friday 16th June, between 7pm and 8pm. winners to be announced on 17th June and all photos will be displayed in the Church. Please bring cupcake entries to Hepworth Village Hall by 12 noon on 17th June for judging. Your cupcakes will be consumed at the Mad Hatter’s tea party by those wearing fancy dress. The Great Get-together is in memory of Jo Cox MP, and is in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Jo Cox Foundation and St Peter’s Church, Hepworth.
