November 2023:

Overall, a wet month, dominated by low pressure particularly during the first half. Temperatures were around average but with a cold ending to the month. Very wet and disturbed start to the month on the 1st/2nd. Very low pressure recorded (for East Anglia) on 2nd: 956.1mb or 28.23″ of mercury, the lowest pressure for any month in my records (2009)

December 2023:

Another mild and wet month but not as wet as October. Ground is now saturated with ‘ponds’ of standing water in fields. The 2nd was an ‘ice day’ when the temperature remained below freezing for 24 hours (Max was -1.4ºC). On the 9th – wind gust of 56 mph at 2320 GMT during the passage of a depression eastwards into the North Sea
