Hepworth has a Defibrillator thanks to the generosity of Richard Argent of Wup-Doodle. It will be situated at the entrance of Stimson’s Yard in the near future and is encased in yellow box mounted on the fence.
A Defibrillator is a device that checks the heart rythmn and it can send an electric shock to restore the heart rythmn if someone is in cardiac arrest.
You are invited to attend training sessions on how to access it and when and how to use a Defibrillator. Training sessions are on Saturday 5th May at 1.30pm and on Thursday 17th May at 1.30pm at the Pavilion. Tuition will be given by Stuart Turner who works for the Ambulance service.. The training sessions are free. We hope there will be a big turn out for these events as this device can save lives.
