May 2024:
A cloudy, warm, wet month with little sunshine apart from the 6th to the 12th. Despite this, mean temperature was 2.3ºC above the average, making it the warmest May in my record (2009), mainly due to mild nights with no air or ground frost. May 2018 was the previous warmest at +2.0ºC above the average. 21st – local flooding occurred after heavy rain and thunderstorms.
June 2024:
A cloudy, dry, changeable month with one notable short warm spell towards the end of the month. Mean temperature was around average and only 48% of average precipitation, making June the first ‘dry’ month of the year!
