DOG WALKERS

Hepworth Parish Council have noticed an increase in dog fouling in the village, including dog waste bags being left on verges/tress rather than put in the dog bins that are available. Residents are asked to use the dog bins or to take any waste back home for disposal to keep the village tidy and prevent unsightly mess. People who do not clean up after their dog can be given a fixed penalty notice. If they refuse to pay the fine, they can be prosecuted and may face a court appearance with a maximum penalty of £1,000.
