On Thursday 6th April Cafe Hepworth will be receiving a visit from the Rural Coffee Caravan.
The Coffee Caravan project started in 2003, to tackle rural isolation and promote community spirit. This mobile community cafe travels across Suffolk equipped with coffee, tea & homemade cakes, along with all sorts of information about organisations and the services they offer.
Organisers say that “knowing what’s going on in our own communities isn’t always easy. It is especially difficult if access to transport is limited, or the village shop or pub or post office has gone, or you live in one of Suffolk’s very scattered parishes”. The project has helped residents of rural villages to gain access to the benefits, services and information that they need.
So come along to the village hall between 10.30am and 12 noon for a cup of tea, slice of cake and a chance to find out more about local services that could help you. All welcome!
