We would like to thank all those thoughtful villagers who, last year, gave plenty of warning to horse owners that they were going to hold fireworks parties.

If you intend to hold fireworks can you please post the date, the all important start time and location on the village website as soon as you can. For those who are unaware of the importance of this information: sudden bright lights and loud noises terrify horses, they can become dangerous and bolt through fencing, the horse that jumped out of it’s enclosure last year thankfully did not get on to the road. It would be much appreciated if you can give as long a warning as possible so that horse owners can order in sedation and arrange extra help standing with their horses while the party is in progress.
