The sun shone and the new village sign was unveiled by Matt Hancock our local MP today.
He commented that there were 44 village signs in his West Suffolk constituency and there are now 45 !
We think this is the first visit of an MP to Hepworth.
Thanks go to Louise Robinson who had inspired the Parish Council to get a new sign and organised the sign design and manufacture with Neil Horne of H Signs.
Thanks also to Andrew Swallow who built the brick plinth.
Louise explained to Matt who showed great interest, the symbols on the sign and their relation to our village.
It has been a 2 year journey from inception to unveiling and we now have a sign to be proud of.
