The Governors, staff and friends from Barningham CEVC Primary School would like to wish Head Teacher Mrs Frances Parr a very long and happy retirement as she leaves our school at the end of December. We thank Frances for her years of service to education, her dedication to our school for the last ten years, and for inspiring our children. When Frances joined our school there were approximately 65 pupils on roll, with children leaving at the end of year 4 to attend Middle School.
Under her leadership, the school has expanded to teach to year 6, and built a reputation for the school that has attracted many parents. The school now has 97 pupils on roll. This last year has been particularly challenging due to the issues presented by COVID; Mrs Parr addressed these issues admirably, and implemented procedures to keep children, staff and visitors to the school safe, and indeed delayed her retirement by one term to provide stability when the children returned to school after the disruption to schooling caused by the lockdown.
Enjoy your retirement Frances, you deserve it!
Miss Stephany Hunter joins us as Head Teacher to the school in January, and we look forward to working with her.
