November 2022: A mild and very wet month. No air or grass frost recorded. On the 1st a substantial hail shower fell at lunchtime, leaving gardens and countryside ‘white’ for a short time. Garden still in bloom at the end of the month with working bumblebees!

December 2022: Very cold first half of the month. Overall, the coldest December since 2010. Mild second half, including the Christmas period. Precipitation slightly below normal with very little snow. Very frosty period 8th to the 18th with 2 ‘ice days’ (13th max. -0.3ºC, 15th max -0.1ºC). Mean night minimum -4.8ºC over this period.
